Born in Badalona . He Studies saxophone and tenora at the Municipal Conservatory of Badalona, at the Liceum Conservatory in Barcelona and the Municipal Conservatory “El Bruch” in Barcelona.
He obtains the degrees of professor in both specialities and on 20 th June 1996 during the End of School year concert he is awarded the Superior Degree of Saxophone with Honours, in the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona.
Jordi Paulí has been the director of the Cobla La Bisbal Jove and the Cobla of School of Music in Vilanova i la Geltrú.
Takes part in different courses of jazz and modern music with Perico Sambeat and Pedro Iturralde (El Ferrol-Madrid-Taller de Músics de Barcelona )
Has been part of several groups and bands either as a performer: “Cobla Sant Jordi-Ciutat de Barcelona” ( 11 seasons ) -“ Banda Municipal de Barcelona” - “Roda de Saxos”- Quartet de Saxòfons: ”Saxocromia”- “ La Tribu de Santi Arisa”- “Big Band de Sabadell”- “Blue Big Band de l´Aula de Jazz de Barcelona”- “Big Band de Badalona, EMB”- “Cobla de Cambra de Catalunya CCC”- “Orquestra Maravella”-“ La Salseta del Poble Sec”-“Quartet de Saxos: Gironsax”- -Big Band:“Girona Jazz Project”- “Coblamporània”- “Une anche passe”- “Air Ensemble”- “Terra”- “Bandaèria”-etc.
Has worked together with Albert Boadella and his theatre company “Els Joglars” in the play “Yo tengo un tio en América”.
